Heuristic Evaluation

Using Nielsen’s heuristic analysis method, we evaluated the chosen competitor store, the Steam Store.

  • Examined important pages in detail

  • Identified a list of issues.

  • Recommended changes to improve the Steam Store

Usability Testing

  • Recruiting Testers fitting the description of our target audience 

  • Testers will attempt to execute tasks from User Task List

  • Each test consists of 3 person, 1 Tester, 1 Host, 1 Facilitator

    • The Tester : Someone outside the team, who fits the description of the target audience, recruited to test the prototype.

    • The Host :  The host is in charge of introducing and guiding the user through the testing. The host will also interview the tester to receive feedback.

    • The Facilitator : The facilitator assists the host by facilitating the transition between screens for the paper prototype.

  • Testing Loop

    1. User Testing - Gain feedback from Users

    2. Analyse - Examine what went wrong

    3. Update - Make changes
